Focus-Films is a new media start-up company, formed in 2010, and managed by James Glen and Duncan McMahon, with both having over 8 years commercial experience each in Film Production, Print Design and Photography.

“I set up Focus-Films to help serve the needs of my clients better, with a more streamlined service. Previously I developed and managed 2 voluntary organisations (FATE & Concepts) which are still ongoing. Both projects are art based, whilst Concepts also delivered commercial services in Video Production, Photography, and Graphic/Web Design. I felt the commercial services of Concepts conflicted with the art services, Concepts provide, so I made the decision to separate the 2 businesses, and created Focus Films with Duncan.”

James Glen has worked within the voluntary and private sector developing a range of local opportunities and providing a range of commercial services for a variety of clients, including Fife Council, JobCentre Plus, and Ore Valley Housing Association.

What’s new with Focus Films is that we will only be delivering Film Production services, Web Design, Photography, and Print Design, as these are the services we are most passionate about and have the most creativity for.”

Duncan McMahon has worked extensively in the voluntary and private sector, from project creations such as Subliminal Directions and FATE and is very active within the local community, serving with groups such as the Lochgelly Community Council and Lochgelly Community Development Forum. Duncan has worked on behalf of many organisations delivering photography and film production and his clients include Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Fife Council, BRAG Enterprises Ltd, and Recycle Fife, to name but a few.

I am very passionate about photography, and whenever I am not working on a clients project, I spend my time photographing the Fife area and enhancing my images using a variety of image editing software. Capturing the perfect and unique image is always at the forefront of my mind on every photography and film production job I am involved in, so people have that unique image that perfectly captures their memories.

Focus-Films is solely focused on delivering a streamlined service to match all your media requirements in Film Production, Print Media Design (Graphic Design), Web Design, and Photography.
